Aliyah
Welcome to Your Aliyah Journey
Making Aliyah is one of the most meaningful and exciting steps you can take — but we know it can also feel overwhelming at times.
There are a lot of details to think about, and it’s easy to feel unsure where to start.
That’s why we created a simple, step-by-step guide to make the process as smooth, clear, and stress-free as possible.
We're here to support you every step of the way — from your first questions to the moment you settle into your new home in Israel!

1. 🧭 Decide to Make Aliyah
Begin by exploring life in Israel—cost of living, housing, schools, and culture. Speak with others who’ve made the move and clarify your goals.
2. 📝 Submit Your Application
Apply through Nefesh B’Nefesh (for North Americans) or the Jewish Agency, providing documentation like proof of Jewish identity and citizenship.
3. 📄 Gather Required Documents
Collect essential paperwork: birth certificate, passport, marriage certificate, and criminal background check. Some documents may require translation or notarization.
4. 🛂 Get Your Aliyah Approval & Visa
Once your documents are reviewed and approved, you'll receive an Aliyah visa from your local Israeli consulate.
5. ✈️ Book Your Flight to Israel
Schedule your Aliyah flight, often coordinated and subsidized by Nefesh B’Nefesh or the Jewish Agency. They assist with travel logistics and airport coordination.
6. 🛬 Arrive & Receive Teudat Oleh
Upon landing in Israel, you'll be welcomed and issued your Teudat Oleh (immigration certificate) at the airport.
7. 🏥 Register for Health Insurance
Choose one of Israel’s health funds (Kupat Cholim) to receive your new medical coverage, usually included for new Olim during the first year.
8. 🆔 Get Your Israeli ID (Teudat Zehut)
Visit your local Misrad HaPnim (Interior Ministry) to receive your national ID card—required for most services in Israel.
9. 🏦 Open a Local Bank Account
Set up an Israeli bank account to manage finances and receive Aliyah benefits. Bring your Teudat Oleh and ID to the bank.
10. 🏡 Find a Place to Live
Whether you're buying or renting, Livian Group will help you find the perfect home, apartment, or land that fits your needs and lifestyle.
11. 🧑🏫 Start Hebrew Ulpan Classes
Sign up for Ulpan, government-supported Hebrew language classes designed to help new Olim integrate and communicate confidently.
12. 💼 Explore Job Opportunities
Look for work, transfer licenses, or explore business opportunities. Various organizations assist new immigrants in job placement and retraining.
13. 🧒 Enroll Children in School
